now at a point that you need to choose your wedding stationary. so what you need to ask the vendors?
- How long have you been in business? It doesn’t mean a new comer wont’ do your job well, it is only that a new comer has a higher chances that they have less experience and less flexible
- What is your design background? Everyone has different design backgrounds, some are more trendy, some are more classic, some are more green and eco friendly, some may be Gothic. And it is difficult to change someone’s style. so ask before you choose
- What types of printing processes do you offer and which do you specialize in? Which do you recommend for my budget and style? you may need some basic knowledge about the printing process, the easiest way is to ask your wedding stationeries professional. A good professional can always educate you and answer your questions professionally.
- Is your printing done in-house or do you outsource the printing? This is to understand their cost and control. if they do the printing in house, it means they have better control on time, cost, and changes. Usually printing in house offers better change management for last minute changes.
- Do you offer custom invitations as well as templated styles? Is there a fee if I want to order a sample of either an existing invitation style or a custom design? If so, how much? An ideal wedding stationary vendor would provide both, if they are templated style, it usually means that they have done it a few times before and they have a portfolio of popular design. and if they offer custom design, it means the professional is not just a trader, they can custom and provide professional custom designs
- If I choose a custom wedding invitation, what are my options for color, paper type, ink and fonts? What is the word limit for the text? This is an important question because you need to know your options. You don’t want to have your wedding invitations same as someone next to you. At least you need to put in some personally touch into it. However, of course, if cost is an issue to you, you may just want to use templated designs.
